Evelyn I. Walker, 88, of Payette, died on Wednesday, December 16, 1992, at a Payette care center. Funeral services will be held at 11 :00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Pastor David Steward of the First United Methodist Church, Payette, will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette.
Evelyn was born on January 19, 1904, at Wilder, a daughter of Al and May Garlick, a prominent pioneer family of Wilder. She married Aaron M. Walker of Wilder on November 18, 1922. Moving to Payette as a young couple becoming very active in the Methodist Church, Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, and many organizations. Evelyn spent her time raising her family and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Robert Walker.
