Carol was a 1969 graduate of Stephenson High School and later attended the NWTC accounting program.
On December 12, 1970, Carol married Donald Kakuk at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Over the years Carol worked at Aerial, Anchor Coupling, Fabtek, Morning Glory Sales offices and retired from Tyco (Ansul) after 13 years as an International Customer Service Specialist. She served as secretary on the Board of Directors for the West Shore Fishing Museum. Carol along with her family and friends ran many booths for the museum for their annual fund raiser.
Carol was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, skating, cross country skiing, gardening and snow tubing with her children and grandchildren. Carol further enjoyed motorcycling with her husband Don and friends. Above all else, Carol's greatest joy came from the time her grandchildren spent with her.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of Daggett, Mich.;
daughter, Polly (Bernie) Hubbard of Stephenson, Mich.
and son, Donald of Stephenson, Mich.;
5 grandchildren;
brothers: Leo and Ronald of Wallace, Mich.;
sisters: Irene Dishneau of Stephenson, Mich. and Regina Newlin of Port Washington, Wis.;
many special brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her brothers: Joe, Richard, Wayne, Wes and August; and sister, Clarice.
