Peter J. Lappen, 74, of 1130 S. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred A. Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lappen was born Oct. 15, 1895, in Hollandtown, Wis., son of the late John and Catherine Wolf Lappen. He married Kathryn Wanish April 22, 1930, at St. James Catholic Church,
Cooperstown, and the couple established its home at Manitowoc.
He was a postal clerk from March 19, 1924, until June 22, 1963, in the Manitowoc Post Office. He was a World War I veteran and member of Drews-Bleser Post No. 88, American Legion, and Holy Name Society.
Survivors include the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome (Carol) Wichiowski of Milwaukee and Mrs. Dale (Dorothy) Sievert of Waukesha; three brothers, Michael of Leopolis, Wis., James of
Chicago and Anton of Kaukauna; and four sisters, Mrs. Walter Ebeling of De Pere and Mrs. Homer Hudson, Mrs. William Mundt and Mrs. Vernon Myers of Milwaukee. Three brothers
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where at 8 p.m. wake services will be conducted.
