Gladys Lemberger, age 77, passed away Monday, May 25, 1992, at the Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 1992, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with Father Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
She was born January 1, 1915, in Cato, Wis., daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Zipperer Reindl. She attended schools in Whitelaw. She married Joseph Lemberger October 21, 1931, at St. Michael’s Church, Whitelaw. The couple farmed for 30 years, coming to Manitowoc in 1965. She was employed for a number of years at the Leverenz Shoe Company Valders. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1991. She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Manitowoc; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Jacqueline Lemberger of Hilbert, Eugene and Carol Ann Lemberger of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Celestine and Harold Kimmel of Whitelaw; two brother and a sister-in-law, Bernard Reindl, Elmer and Mary Reindl, all of Manitowoc; two sisters, Lola Miller of Manitowoc, Dorothy Kronforst of Mishicot; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Reindl, and one grandson, Scott Lemberger.
Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, until the time of services. The Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with arrangements.
