Edith M. Morris, age 88, of 1328 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc, died Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2013 at St. Mary’s Home at Felician Village, Manitowoc.
She was born on April 12, 1925 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Reuben H. & Clara C. (Regal) Miller. Edith was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1943. On June 28, 1947 she married Richard T. Morris at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2012. Prior to her marriage, Edith was employed with the Manitowoc Board of Education.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Susan M. & David Huelsbeck, Neenah, Ruby A. & Donald Orth, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Brian Huelsbeck and his wife Mellissa, Kevin Huelsbeck and his wife Ann, Lisa Klein & Her husband Ryan; five great grandchildren: Brenden, Kylee, Ben, Maddie and Lauren; and a sister-in-law: Alice Lakatos, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruth & Arthur Heinrichs, Marilyn & George Ploerderl; a brother and sister-in-law: Howard & Dorothy Miller; and one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Kathryn & Merlin Koukalik and Joseph Lakatos.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand – 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 until 10:45 a.m.
