Reuben H. Miller, 82, of 1410 S. 15th Street, Manitowoc, died early Friday
morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm
Monday at St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Miller was born May 30, 1893 at Appleton, son of the late Henry and Minnie
Krohn Miller. He moved to Manitowoc as a young man where he married Clara C.
Regel June 27, 1914. She preceded him in death Jan. 24, 1975. Prior to his
retirement 17 years ago, he had been employed at Mirro Aluminum Co., as a
foreman for 50 years. He had a lifetime membership in Manitowoc Musicians Assn.
Local No. 195 and Manitowoc Marine Band. He also played with the American Legion
Drews-Bleser Post 88 Band.
Survivors include a son, Howard of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth)
Heinrichs, Mrs. George (Marilyn) Ploederl and Mrs. Richard (Edith) Morris of
Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Three brothers and
five sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 4 to 9 pm Sunday until
11:30 am Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will
lie in state from noon until the time of service.
