Catherine Kilcommons (nee Flynn), 88, after a long illness, passed away quietly on Jan. 1, 2012 at her home in the Bronx. A retired Registered Nurse, Kathleen, as she preferred to be called, was born in Drumkeerin, Co. Leitrim, Ireland. She came to America in the 50's and never left when she met the love of her life, her husband, Peter. The couple settled in Yonkers where they raised their two children, Michael and Aileen. Kathleen was an active member of the Leitrim Society of New York, and a tireless fund-raiser for the St. Joseph Missionary Priests of Mill Hill, England. She now joins in heaven her husband, Peter, and her brother, Peter Flynn of Drumkeerin. She leaves behind three sisters, Frances Flynn and Bridget Ryder in Dublin, Ireland, and Mary Kelleher of the Bronx. She is survived by her son, Michael, her daughter, Aileen, and her granddaughter, Kathryn.
