She attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge and was a retired first-grade teacher and member of the Caledonia Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by three daughters, Marla Hardesty of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Alyce Giltner of Villa Ridge, and Colleen Buckles of Jackson, Mo.; one sister, Dawn Lackey of Anna; one brother, George Bankson of Mounds; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur S. Ervin Jr.; twin grandsons; two brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Everett and Edna Calvin Bankson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery at Pulaski.
