Mrs Catherine Finnerty
Frankfort- July 26 - Mrs Catherine (Carney) Finnerty, 69, died at her home in Main Street, Sunday morning. Although she had been ailing for the last few months, she was confined to her bed but two days before death occurred.
She was born in Roscommon, Ireland, November 4, 1955. At the age of 14, she came to America and resided at Ilion, where she was married to James Finnerty. Mr and Mrs Finnerty started housekeeping in Frankfort after their marriage in the year 1880 and had since made their home here until the death of her husband 13 years ago when she kept home for her children. She was a member of I.C.B.A Ilion, and Saint Peter and Paul Church.
She leaves one sister, Mrs. B. Meehan of Ilion, two brothers, Michael Carney, Ilion and Patrick of Schenectady. Four sons, Thomas, Oriskany Falls, James and Eugene of Frankfort, and Francis of Utica, three daughters Miss Mayme Finnerty and Mrs. William Wagner of Frankfort, and Mrs. Howard Rudd of Utica.
The funeral will be held with requiem High Mass from St. Peter and Paul Church Tuesday morning, interment at Ilion.
