Acevedo, Rafael, passed away at his Ocala home on Saturday, April 25, 2015. He was born on October 8, 1955 in Lares, Puerto Rico, son to his deceased father Rafael Acevedo and his mother Carmen M. Lopez of Puerto Rico. After his marriage he moved New York and spent most of his life in Far Rockaway, NY before moving here one month ago. His career was that of a machine operator with Studly Manufacturing Company of Inwood, NY. Junior enjoyed all types of arts and crafts. He was a loving father and grandfather. Besides his mother he is survived by his daughters, Ruth M. Acevedo, Jackelyn Acevedo and Lizette Acevedo, all of Puerto Rico; siblings, Nilsa, Hector, Loyda, Carmen, Adria, Jorge, Nestor, Carlos and Neftali: brother-in-laws Diego Lamourt and Luis B. Diaz; grandchildren Ashanty and Janlexis and several nieces and nephews including Enid Diaz. Family will receive their friends in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala, FL 34481 on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. The Service will be in the TimberRidge Chapel on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00AM with entombment to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala.
