Nelson Anker, a lifelong resident of the Cass City area, died Saturday, Dec. 1, at Hills and Dales General Hospital, after a long illness.
He was born July 23, 1902, in Elmwood Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anker. He lived his entire life on the Anker centennial homestead farm where he was born,
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Loomis of Bad Axe and Mrs. Howard (Gertrude) Evans of Lake Orion, and 17 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Little's Funeral Home, with Rev. Eldred Kelley, pastor of the Salem United Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in Elmwood cemetery, Gagetown.
