Ruthven, Mrs. Beatrice
The death occurred at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 8th of Mrs. Beatrice Ruthven. Mrs. Ruthven was 91.
The deceased was born at Huntsville on February 27th, 1889 the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lovegrove. She was married at Huntsville in 1912 to the late Adam Ruthven who passed away in 1918. In 1921 she married his brother the late William John Ruthven who passed away in 1936. Both were the sons of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruthven.
Left to mourn her passing are four sons and two daughters, Edna (Mrs. Elvin Tebby) of Huntsville, Charles of Novar, Vernon of Belleville, Ethel (Mrs. Gilbert Hopcraft) of Sundridge, Edgar of St. Catharines and Willliam of Callandar, Ontario. Mrs. Ruthven is also survived by a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Edythe Scriver of Huntsville, Gordon Lovegrove of Huntsville and Oscar Lovegrove of R.R. #3 Utterson. There are 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at the Utters Funeral Chapelion Monday August 11th at 2pm. The service was conducted by the Rev Wilson of Easdale. Interment followed at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Ruthven, Eric Ruthven, Kirby Ruthven, Dennis Hopcraft, Clayton Kennelly, and Wayne Wilson.
