Oct 1918. Enters US Army Nurse Corps, WWI.
Serves at Base Hospital, Camp Lewis, WA.

1919. Marries Army First Lieutenant Elmer E. Samson, 1st Infantry Division, Camp Lewis, WA.

Apr 1919. The Samson’s move to Laurel, Montana.

Dec 1919. Anne gives birth in Billings, MT to only child, Elmer E. Samson, Jr.

Jan 1920. Anne passes away in Billings from complications in childbirth. Interred in (now) Billings Mountview Cemetery. Grave never marked.

Elmer Samson and son move to Pennsylvania; fade into history.

May 2014. Adjutant, Disabled American Veterans, Billings Chapter 10, Billings, MT, researches and discovers Anne’s unmarked grave. Effort to have US Dept of Veterans Affairs provide a headstone is unsuccessful. DAV Chapter 10 funds headstone.

6 May 2015. Memorial service for Anne.
