Mrs. Margaret Colville Corey died Monday at the residence of Mrs. W. F. Corey, at No. 17 Walnut street. Her age was eighty-four years, twenty of which she had been an invalid. Mrs. Corey was born in 1811 in Kirk Aldie, Scotland. Carlyle and Irving were fellow students of hers in that town. The family first settled in this country at Forrestville, Chautauqua county. Sixty years ago, with her husband, Augustus Corey, she moved from Buffalo to this city. She was the youngest of her father 's family and her death removes the last of it's members. William F. Corey, the well-known banker of this city and Buffalo is her only son. The funeral services were held at the residence on Walnut street, Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. George H. McKnight, D. D., conducted them (Elmira Telegram, Elmira, New York, March 10, 1895).
