Samuel Adams enlisted in the Revolutionary War October 13, 1780 probably with the Connecticut Reg. He was born in Canterbury, Windham Co. CT. He died in Elm Valley [Andover] NY and is buried in back of the Brown Homestead on a hill, next to his wife. My mother insists that this is the Dyke Cole Cem. but I think it may be called Brown Cemetery by the locals due to the fact that it is a hillside cemetery behind what was the Brown Family Home corner of Rt 417 and Elm Valley Rd County Rt 12. - Lisa Willis
