R. William Dimond, Sr., 70, died of a cerebral embolism Monday morning at his home two miles east of Canfield, following a brief illness. Mr. Dimond was born in Pittsburgh June 1, 1882, a son of Robert and Luella Harkins Dimond, and came to Canfield from Youngstown 19 years ago. He was a retired florist and was a member of Western Star Lodge F.&A.M., and Zion Lutheran Church. His wife, the former Elsie Beckfield, whom he married in 1906, died four years ago. Mr. Dimond leaves a son, Robert W. of Canfield; three sisters; two brothers, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Forest Lawn Chapel.
