Lennard E. Nelson, 98, Little Falls, died Thursday, May 14, 2015, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, May 16, at St. Otto's Care Center Chapel in Little Falls with Rachel Flogstad-Heise officiating. Military rites were conducted by Little Falls VFW Post #1112.

Lennard Edward Nelson was born January 22, 1917, in Darling Township to Hugo and Hilda (Narum) Nelson. He grew up in Darling, where he attended District #74 country school. Lennard entered the U.S. Navy in April of 1942, and was honorably discharged November 13, 1945. He married Agnes Borash at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie. They farmed in Darling Township until 1978. Lennard became a resident of St. Otto's Care Center in 2003. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Little Falls VFW #1112, and volunteered at the Little Falls Senior Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes in August 2004; brother, Wilber; and sisters, Mabel Larson, Gladys Jungbauer, Signe Knutson, Myrtle Swenson, Marian Eystad and Margaret Nelson.
