"On October fifth, Mrs. Abbie Clark of Cherry Valley died at the home of Andrew Snedeker, at Richfield Springs, after a few days of illness. Her age was over ninety years. Her life had been as useful and beautiful as it had been long. Mrs. Clark retained to the last her full mental faculties, and bade farewell to the members of the family one by one just a little while before she died. There was a prayer at the house, the funeral services being held in Cherry Valley where the burial took place.
