He was a retired service representative from National Mine Service. He attended the Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving: wife, Mildren Halstead Aliff; son, James H., daughter Dee Aliff Wheaton; sisters, Cleo Morgan, Wilda Radabaugh and Madeline Knittle; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
Service will be 1 pm friday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Prosperity, with the Elder Roger M. Lilly officiating.
Entombment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm today at the funeral home.
