Producer. He received an Academy Award nomination for the 1970 film "M*A*S*H". The younger brother of director Otto Preminger, he was a lawyer in Vienna before emigrating to the United States. He spent much of his American career as a literary agent, and during the 1950s he helped blacklisted screenwriters find work under assumed names. Preminger's other films as a producer were "The Salzburg Connection" (1972) and "The Great Smokey Roadblock" (1976). Preminger was married to his wife Kate for more than seventy years. He passed away at his Pacific Palisides home at the age of 95.
