In the Fort Williams Cemetery, just outside of Sylacauga, Alabama, along the "Coosa River" is a memorial to "Jackson's Tennessee Volunteers", who fought the "Battle of "Horseshoe Bend" in 1814, including a stone for; Henry Sawrey (sic) Private, Newlin's Company, West Tennessee Militia, for the War of 1812, with no date on it.

While Henry Sawrey, was in the War of 1812, his company went to Alabama, and while there a epidemic was raging, and a lot of men died, they put a monument up to honor the men, they listed all the names of the men who survived and fought there, living and dead, and Henry Sawrey's name is on that Monument.
