Corine "Connie" Dillard, 102, died Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was born March 16, 1913 in Steel Hill, a rural community in Dickens County, Texas. She was the fourth daughter of Robert Lee Stephens and Jo D. Tyler Stephens.

Several years later the family moved to Abilene where Connie attended Abilene public schools.

Connie married G.B. "Britt" Dillard on January 2, 1934. They lived in Abilene all of their forty-eight years together. He preceded her in death in 1982.

Connie went to work as a school secretary in 1949. She was at College Heights Elementary until she retired in 1977. She was a member of University Baptist Church for sixty-five years, serving in the nursery department for many of those years. About fifteen years ago she became a member of Southwest Drive Methodist Church where she made many new friends. Connie was loved by many. She spent her life doing for her family and others.

She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Oleson of Modesto, CA, Glenna Barnes and husband, Marshall of Salina, KS, and Johnnie Nall of Ruidoso, NM; eleven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
