(1925 - 2010)

Llewellyn "Mex" L. Bolle, of 3400 Yorkshire Lane, Manitowoc, died on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at Hamilton Care Center in Two Rivers.

Llewellyn was born on Sept. 21, 1925, in Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Lydia (Benishek) Bolle. He was a graduate of the class of 1944 from Lincoln High School. Llewellyn served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married the former Marian O'Connor on May 16, 1953, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He farmed for many years in the town of Kossuth and later worked for the Rockwell Lime Co. Llewellyn was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek.

Survivors include his wife: Marian Bolle, Manitowoc; four children and their spouses: Peggy Bolle and her husband Larry Pruess, Two Rivers, Kay (Tom) Vanderbusch, New Berlin, Kim (Rich) Borenitsch, Brookfield, Janet (Paul) Vraney, De Pere; six grandchildren: Holly and Heidi Vanderbusch; Jenna and Olivia Waligorski; Louise and Chloe Vraney; one brother: Lovell Bolle, Fort Worth, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law: Barbara (Pat) Seiber, Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters-in-law: Elaine Bolle, Manitowoc, Ethelyn Bolle, Whitelaw, Evelyn Bolle, Manitowoc, Dorothy Bolle, Francis Creek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Lydia Bolle; six brothers: Berlin, Francis, Everett, Carl, Bob and Dale Bolle; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Virginia (Ludwig) Swetlik, Sally (Russell) Walesh;two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Bolle and Ruth Bolle.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Rev. Paul Paider will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of his cremated remains to follow at the parish cemetery.
