(1920 - 1978)

Berlin J. Bolle, 57, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Reif Mills. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.

Mr. Bolle was born October 2, 1920 in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Charles and Lydia Benishek Bolle. He attended St. Anne Catholic School, Francis Creek and was graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. He entered military service June 17, 1942, serving in the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic Theater and Philippines and was honorably discharged January 10, 1946. He married Evelyn Kirch June 17, 1947 in Manitowoc. They lived in the Town of Kossuth and in the present home for the past 10 years. Mr. Bolle had been employed with Howard Immel Construction Co., Green Bay and was a member of Carpenters Union No. 849, Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post No. 6179 of Cato and Manitowoc County Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife, five sons and two daughters-in-law, Bari and Ann, Jerome and Linda and James of Manitowoc; Thomas and Paul at home; a daughter, Cindy at home; seven brothers, Carl and Dale of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; Everett, Francis and Llewellyn of Francis Creek, Robert of Rt. 2, Manitowoc and Lovell of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Patrick (Barbara) Sieber of Wisconsin Rapids and Mrs. Russel (Sally) Walish of Two Rivers and three grandchildren. His parents and a sister, Virginia Swetlik preceded her in death.

Friends may call in Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
