Mr. Lewis was born on June 3, 1929 in Cochran Ga, to the late Bill and Ruth Lewis. He was employed as an insurance agent for 25 years. Mr. Lewis was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and a past member of the Masons. He loved singing gospel music and he sung with the Harmony Boys and also the Sunny South Quartet.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Betty Lewis of Thomaston Ga, son and daughter in law Mr. Ricky and Jackie Lewis of Thomaston Ga, grand daughter Miss. Jess Lewis.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Mountain View Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Monday February 20, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Mountain View Baptist Church Music Ministry at 2569 Jeff Davis Rd. Thomaston Ga. 30286.
