GEORGE WELLE OF LASTRUP DIES APRIL 3
LASTRUP - George Welle, 77, died April 3rd at St. Gabriel's's Hospital, Little Falls. He was born May 17, 1893 in Meire Grove.
In 1912, he moved here and farmed until 1949, when he moved to town and operated the Welle Grocery Store until 1965. He was secretary of the Lastrup Creamery until 1953.
He married Martha Wagner July 18, 1916. She preceded him in death July 29, 1970.
Mr. Welle is survived by children, Leo, Alcuin, Mrs. Ray (Elizabeth) Poser, and Mrs. Urban (Zita) Poser, Lastrup; 27 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 7th at St. John's Church with the Rev. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
