Actress.Actress. Dean was one of Universal's top stars of the early 1920s. She made her film debut at the age of 14 and continued playing in shorts through 1911 when she signed to Universal to work as the leading lady in many Eddie Lyons and Lee Moran comedies. Dean appeared in "Slipping Wives" with Stan Laurel, and Oliver Hardy.
