SAMUEL GRANT BOWLING, age 66, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, May 09, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Bowling was born on Feb. 14, in Sewanee, Tenn., to the late Sam and Lila Grant Bowling. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winchester. Mr. Bowling was employed for approximately thirty-seven years as an X-Ray Technician. His last employment was with Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. His favorite hobbies were collecting antique cars and tractors. Mr. Bowling will be remembered as a loving and caring brother and uncle.

He is survived by his brother, Edward Bowling and wife, Christine, sister, Faye Carter and husband Joe all of Winchester, nieces and nephews; Cristy Bowling, David Hoffmeister, Dianna Sheely and Philip Hoffmeister.

A Graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 14, at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester with Hospice Chaplin Jack Nichols, officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Mr. Bowling's memory to First United Methodist Church in Winchester or the Franklin County Historical Society at P.O. Box 130, Winchester, TN 37398.
