CRESTVIEW
Died: At his home six miles south of Crestview at 1 o'clock Friday night, Milledge Cox, one of the oldest residents of this section. Mr. Cox settled here 22 years ago and is known all over the county and through south Alabama. He will be missed by everybody as everybody was his friend. Mr. Cox had a mercantile establishment at this place and was doing a good business. We extend our sympathy to the grief stricken family.

AT REST
M COX
JULY 25, 1852 - OCT 18, 1905
Through all pain at times He'd smile
A smile of Heavenly birth
And when the angels called him home
He smiled farewell to earth.
Heaven retaineth now our treasure
Earth the lonely casket keeps
And the sunbeams love to linger
While our sainted Father sleeps
COX
