DIED.--In this city on Friday afternoon, C. KRUEGER, aged 86 years.

The deceased came to Brenham in 1869 and since that time had resided with his daughter, Mrs. Gehrman. He was the grand-father of Messrs. August [Koch] and Rudolph Koch, Benny Gehrman and several others, the family being quite numerous; there are also quite a number of his great-grand children. The old gentleman had been quite feeble for several years and lately had not been away from his home. His death was as quiet and easy as a babe going to sleep. He had been lying down most of the day and raising up to change his position fell back and expired; his lamp of life had been extinguished and his death was painless. He was an upright and honorable man and was highly respected by all who knew him.
