Mrs. Fred. T. Nye Died Last Night

Death Followed Operation at St. John's Hospital for Toxic Goitre--Was Well Known

Mrs. Eva. M. Nye, 39 years old, wife of Fred. T. Nye, 1221 Olive street, died at 7 o'clock last night in St. John's hospital following an operation for toxic goitre.
Mrs. Nye was born, January 10, 1880, near Jarbalo. When ten years of age she came from Emporia to live with her uncle, the late C.C. Kessinger. She and Mr. Nye were married, October 20, 1898.
Mrs. Nye was a social member of the Knights and Ladies of Security. She had a jolly disposition and acquired a very large circle of friends, who were deeply grieved to learn of her death.
Besides the husband, six sons, Walter L., Edward A., John Harold, Calvin Earl, Floyd A., and Herbert R., a sister, Mrs. A.L. Moberly, who came here a few days ago from Burkbenett, Tex., two stepsons, Thomas W. Nye, American Expeditionary Forces, and Fred Nye, Tacoma, Wash., and the father, John A. Brady, California, Mo., survive her. Two half sisters, Mrs. Grace Berry, Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Florence Hanrahan, Kansas City, also survive her.
No definite funeral arrangements have been made, but the services probably will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the family home.
