Funeral of Herbert Willman
Herbert Willman, last of Stillwater's overseas heroes to be brought back from the battlefields of France, was buried in Fair Lawn cemetery Sunday afternoon.
The body arrived Saturday afternoon, and funeral services were conducted at the Christian church Sunday afternoon. Rev. E.V. DuBois, of the First Methodist church, preached the funeral sermon, and prayer was said by Virtes Williams. Beautiful music was furnished by the Methodist church choir, and Mrs. Dubois sang a solo.
At the cemetery services were in charge of the American Legion, and conducted by Rev. S.G. Rogers, chaplain. A firing squad saluted the dead, and "taps" was blown by a Legion bugler.
