He was married to Edna Kovnesky on November 1, 1942 at Pound.
He drove semi and traveled across the country delivering fixtures for Chadwick Mfg. Co., Coleman, WI. August then worked for both Chadwick Mfg. Co. and Packerland Woodworking in Oconto, WI until his retirement. He grew organic produce which he sold to several grocery stores. August always enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pound.
Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Edna;
one daughter, Carolyn (Robert Ertel) Borkowski of Green Bay;
several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Willie; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Relatives and friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 5th. Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 6th from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Pound. Rev.
