He was survived by his son, Mr. Richard Thompson of Columbia, SC; his siblings, Charles Thompson, Rodney Thompson, Shirley T. Besselieu of Pawleys Island, SC, and Clinton Thompson of Greer, SC.
Funeral services were 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, in St. John AME Church in Pawleys Island, SC. The Rev. Alfred Buckner officiated. Burial, directed by McKnight-Fraser Funeral Home, followed in the Church Cemetery.
