Obituary published in the Morning Start, Rockford, IL on Saturday, September 13, 1958, on page 2, as follows: MRS. GRACE KERLIN. FREEPORT - Mrs. Grace Kerlin, 75, 919 S. Carroll ave., died at 6:35 a.m. Friday in St. Francis hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Kerlin was born March 19, 1883, in Portage, Wis., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bowler. She was married to Emery Kerlin Nov. 20, 1907, in Rockford. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Burke, Freeport; a son, Kenneth, Fort Dodge, IA; four grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Bowler, Rockford.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the Burke-Tubbs funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr C. F. Conley, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock Saturday.
