Mrs. Wood was born September 17, 1875, the daughter of John and Ann Hewlett Parish. Her father was a prominent builder and contractor who built the house at 36 Leitch Ave., Skaneateles, into which the family moved when Mrs. Wood was six years old. She had lived in the same house 62 years when she moved to Providence 19 years ago, where she had lived since.
She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Surviving are a son, Charles Richard Wood of Providence, R.I.; two grandchildren, John Wood of Virginia and Miss Ann Wood, a student at the University of Rhode Island, and a nephew of the Rev. Raymond Lawrence of Syracuse.
