Stapleton, GA-Mrs. Frances M. Hobbs, 85, entered peacefully into her eternal home, on June 3, 2015. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and Mema.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Zoar United Methodist Church, Stapleton with Pastor Faye Burgamy officiating. Interment will follow in the Zoar United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jason Hart, Jonathan Thigpen, Shane Richards, Joe Akins, Johnny Kitchens, Jody Hobbs, Jamie Smith, Wright Perdue and Barry Russell.

Mrs. Hobbs was a lifelong resident of Glascock County, GA. She was retired from Thomson Company, a volunteer with the McDuffie County Hospital Auxiliary, and a faithful and devoted member of Zoar United Methodist Church, where over the years she served in various church offices.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly Milford and Connie Richards, both of Thomson and a son, Clifton (Susan) Hobbs, of Gibson; three sisters, Annie Kate(Daniel) Palmer, Wrens, Voncille Akins, Athens, and LaVerne (Leroy) Usry, Stapleton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, Watson and Katie Anderson McNair and her husband, Lester Hobbs.
