Richard (Dick) J. Hyneman was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Litchfield, Minn., and met Glorianne C. Hofmann when his family moved to St. Cloud, Minn. They married Sept. 15, 1951, in St. Cloud, Minn. During 47 years of marriage they had seven children; Glorianne Maria, Jonathan, Paula, Joseph, Toni, Michael and Patrick.
Dick's employment transferred him to Boise, Idaho, in 1969. Later he was transferred to Portland and he received the Man of the Year award from Readers Digest in 1971. Through the years Dick was active in the Knights of Columbus, and his next rewarding employment was Banker in the Neighbors of Woodcraft.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Glorianne, 1998; and his brother, Jim, in 1987.
Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia (married 2000); sons, Jon of Boise, Idaho; Joseph of St. Helens; Michael of Hillsboro; and Patrick of Meridan, Idaho; daughters, Glorianne Menely of Milwaukie; Paula Moore of Portalnd; and Toni Hixon of Milwaukie. He is also survived by brothers, Ralph of Seattle; Arthur II of Seattle; Jack of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; sister, Mary Vossen of Burnsville, Minn; and Joanne Johnson of New Brighton, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is loved and remembered by us all.
Dick died Oct. 14, 2003 at age 72. Inurnment is at Portland Memorial Mausoleum Wilson K West Wall, Tier 4, Niche 121/2 &14.
