John was born as John Nowicki in Wyandotte, Michigan to parents Peter and Carolina "Coaster" Nowicki. On the 4 Jan 1921 John married Mathilda K. "Lay" Thomas. John died of a heart attack at his store, Lenawee Meat Market, 145 N. Main St. which he and his brother, William Noveskey had established a few years before his death (Adrian Daily Telegram May 3, 1937)
