Pearl - Jean D. Turbville, 95, passed from this life Saturday, May 5, 2018, while surrounded by her family at home.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Monday, May 7, 2018, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in the Funeral Home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

She was born November 19, 1922, in Scott County, a daughter of the late William Franklin Duncan and Minnie Wallace Duncan.

Jean was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Pearl where she served as the Sunday School secretary for more than 50 years. She also worked with the pre-school department, was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class, and was active with the Merry Makers. A devoted Christian wife and mother, Jean read her Bible daily and in her last days she had her sitters read to her. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23.

Jean retired after 34 years from South Central Bell, where she served as an accounting supervisor. She enjoyed traveling and participating in many activities at the community center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lee Turbville; and all of her siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Jan Warren and husband Mark; and step-son, Kenneth Mark Turbville and wife Diana.

Her daughter wishes to express their sincerest thanks to the family and friends who called, visited, and assisted, and to her devoted caregivers, Lou Boykin and Shelby Warren.
