The mother of noted ragtime composer Joseph F. Lamb, Mrs. Lamb, nee Julia Henneberry, died in her 71st year. Born in Kilkenny, Ireland, she was the widow of fellow Irish immigrant James Lamb, a veteran of the American Civil War who eventually became a successful contractor. The couple settled in the Montclair, NJ, where their four children, Joseph, Katharine, Anastasia, and Joseph, were born and raised in the home Mr. Lamb had built for his family. Predeceased by her husband in 1900, Mrs. Lamb's survivors at the time of her death included her famed son and her daughter, Katharine, who are also interred in this plot.
