"In 1899, Orrin D. Dodge, son of Jabez Seymour Dodge, was elected Village President succeeding Amos Churchill. The Dodge home stood at Main and Hillside but with business development on the south side of the Chicago North Western Railway, in the 1920's the house was moved around the corner to the middle of the block facing Hillside. Up to this time, Mr Dodge kept a milk cow on his back lot."
