Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Upshur County, under direction of Croley Funeral Home, Gilmer.
Mr. Jackson died June 28, 2006, in Tyler. He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Upshur County to the late John William and Minnie Adeline Green Jackson. He worked in highway maintenance and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jackson, Gilmer; sons, Johnnie Jackson and Tommy Jackson, both of Gilmer, Jimmie Jackson and David Jackson, both of Pittsburg; daughters, Terry Meagley, Waldron, Ark., Diane Martin and Renee Wilson, both of Pittsburg; brother, Noel Jackson, Rockwall; sister, Joyce Ennis, Monroe, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Rebel Jackson, Cole Jackson, Adam Jackson, Jerrad Jackson, Steve Jackson and Ricky Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Chase Ferguson and Nick Meagley.
Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
