Born March 28, 1913 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Jake and Bertha (Hawkens) Pearson, she married James Isaiah Brickhouse in Forrest City on Oct. 29, 1939.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, James Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Verdil of Forrest City, Johnnie Lee and Willie both of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Fields and Mrs. Albert (Airalona) Jones, both of Peoria.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother Dorsey Lee Pearson of St. Louis; and two sisters, Dora Lee McDaniel of Forrest City and Daisy Lee Dobbs of Youngstown, Ohio.
One son Charlie Coleman, five brothers and one sister preceded her.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
