Mrs. James J. McManamon Active in Catholic Women's Work
   Mrs. James J. Mc.Manamon, highly esteemed resident of Ashley and prominent in women's activities in this community for many years, died yesterday morning at 1:15 at her home, 66 Ashley Street, Ashley, following a week's illness of a heart condition.
   Born in Sugar Notch, the former Miss Alberta B. Boyce, deceased for years lived in that community. She married James J. McManamon, well known Central Railroad of New Jersey engineer, and moved with him to Ashley where she had since resided. She was a member of St. Leo's Church, Ashley; its Altar and Rosary Society; a charter member of National Council of Catholic Women and Mercy Hospital Senior Auxiliary; member of Mothers' Club of Marywood College; Branch 444, L. C. B. A.; and G. I. A. to Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Mrs. Ernest Dodson and Mrs. Hugh Jennings, Wilkes-Barre, and Charles McManamon, at home; three grandchildren, James, Eleanor and Joseph McManamon; five sisters, Mrs. Michael Condry, Mrs. Anthony F. Dougherty, Mrs. Jennie Webster and Mrs. B. C. McGrane, all of Wilkes-Barre, and Mrs. M. H. Bradshaw, Sugar Notch; also a brother. John Boyce of Williamstown, N. Y.
