She is purported to be the daughter of Humphry Pakington, a younger brother of Sir John Pakington (d. 1551) of Hampton Lovett, Worcester.

In his 'English Baronetage,' Gibbs states that Humphry was a merchant of London who had an only son named John who resided at Harvington in Worcester, and whose "line expir'd in two daughters, great heiresses," but fails to mention Humphry's daughters.

Alice first married Richard Lambert, Esq. of London and, after his death, she became the wife of Clement Paston.

Clement (d. 1598), is buried at Oxnead, where he used Alice's money to build himself a house on land he'd inherited from his father, William.

His memorial at Oxnead features an effigy of Alice kneeling before his tomb. An identical brass memorial to the one noted below is also in that church.

Alice and Clement had no issue; it's unknown whether she had any by her first husband.
