1932 - 2015 | Obituary
Irvin "Eddy" Edwards, age 82 of Mentor on the Lake, died June 15, 2015 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was born Oct. 9, 1932 in Broadrun, Virginia and lived in Euclid before moving to Mentor on the Lake 52 years ago.
He was a US Army Veteran and was a Prisoner of War during the Korean War, a member of the Willoughby Eagles Aerie # 2300 and Mentor VFW Post # 9295. He enjoyed working on and restoring cars.
Eddy was a supervisor for the former TRW, Valve Division for over 30 years, retiring in 1991.
Eddy is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Michael (Robin) and LeAnna (Nicholas) Rikas; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Daniels, Stacy (Andrew) Bardwell, Elizabeth (Adam) Richardson, Joshua (Megan) Rikas, Abigail Rikas (Dylan Webb), and Emma and Hannah Rikas; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Wesley (Kathleen) Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Sandy Lee and Charlotte Ann Edwards, and eight other siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 20, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Interment will be at a later date.
The family will receive friends at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.
