MR. THOS. HARRISON HAS PASSED AWAY
Mr. Thomas Harrison died at his residence, No. 1301 East Nineteenth street, East Highlands, yesterday morning at 4 o'clock, after several months' illness of Brights disease, surrounded by his devoted wife and children, except Mr. J. C. Harrison, who returned home recently.
Mr. Harrison was born in the upper part of Muscogee county, December 30, 1841, and spent the greater part of his life in this county. He enlisted in the civil war with one of the first companies that left Columbus and remained in active service until the close. In 1872 he married Miss Emily Langford, who survives him. He is also survived by seven children; three sons and four daughters, as follows; Messrs. Thos. D. Water, R. and J. C. Harrison, the latter residing in Clarkeville, Ark., and Messes Eunice, Lela, Daisy and Willie Harrison.
Mr. Harrison was a patient sufferer. He had every attention from his physician, devoted family and friends. He was not a member of any church, but was converted and lived an exemplary life. He was ready for the summons and died very peacefully. The family's many friends sympathize with them very deeply in their great loss.
The funeral will take place this afternoon from his residence at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. T. Granade. The pallbearers will be: Messrs. J. J. Cox, Polk Harris, J. R. Hollis, W. W. Moyer, J. P. Hart and H. P. Foster. The interment will be at Riverdale cemetery. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
