She was born in Canaan, New York on November 6, 1834. She lived there until her marriage to Asher B. Goodrich in 1855. Shortly afterward they moved west, locating in Columbus, Wisconsin, where they resided until the spring of 1872. at this time they removed to Chicago. After residing in Chicago for two years the removed again to McLean County, Illinois, settling on a farm about five miles east of Bloomington. In 1895 they retired and took up their residence at 805 East Monroe Street, Bloomington, Illinois.
Mr. Goodrich preceded her in death on December 25, 1904. And since that time Mrs. Goodrich has made her home with her children.
There are three surviving children and they are as follows: C. B. Goodrich and F. W. Goodrich both of Gibson City, Illinois; and Mrs. Leander Dooley Young of Bloomington, Illinois. Also surviving is one brother, Mr. E. M. Brown of Troy, New York.
Mrs. Goodrich was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomington, Illinois have joined that denomination when she was thirteen years of age.
