Bio: When Catharine (Kate) Bickel (Ritner) was born about 1857, in Pennsylvania, her father, Jacob Bickel, was 34 and her mother, Caroline R Frei, Bickel was 28.
She had one child with her husband, John Ritner, on April 14, 1876. She died as a young mother of a 4 day old daughter on April 18, 1876, from complications of childbirth, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 19. Her baby girl died 2 weeks after Catherine gave birth.
